I recognise that employing a gardener is beyond the reach of many people (myself included). Yet if Margins is to achieve its aim of creating connected corridors of habitat and forage for pollinators and other wildlife, participation needs to be as accessible as possible. Nature recovery shouldn’t be limited to those who can afford it.

I’d therefore like to understand whether there is demand for a ‘pay what you can’ (PWYC) model for my advice and services. Under this model, people on lower incomes would be able to access ecological gardening support through a sliding scale of prices, helping more gardens contribute to local nature recovery.

If this is something that would interest you, I’d be grateful if you could join the mailing list. If there is sufficient demand, I will use this information to support future funding applications aimed at making a PWYC model financially viable. Unless you choose to opt in to general Margins updates, you’ll only receive emails about the development of the PWYC model.
